Shade temperature: Maximum 58.6, minimum 39.6, terrestrial 28.4. Sunshine, 8 hours 48 minutes. Rain. 34 points. Frost, 2 degrees. Mr H. M. Boddington. reports that 34 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. I PHASES OF THE MOON. First quarter, August 30, 2.4 a.m. SUN. The sun rose today, 6.51 a.m.; sets, 5.54 p.m.
