Y.M.C.A. Card Party.

At the fortnightly card party conducted by the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. an enjoyable time was spent. The winners were Mrs Cunningham and Mrs McGrath. The next card party will be held on Thursday, September 11, at 7.45 p.m. Arrangements have been made for Miss Stubbings’s Masterton Percussion Band to occupy the whole of the children’s session at 2YA from 5 p.m. till 6 p.m. today. The band will play a bracket of numbers interspersed by pianoforte solos, duets, songs and recitations. A shop day will be held in Kenner’s Shop, Queen Street, on Wednesday, September 24, under the auspices of the Country District Sub-Centre of the N.Z. Red Cross Society. The proceeds will be devoted to the Nurse Matthews and V.A.D. Equipment funds.
