DURATION OF SESSION

END NOT IN SIGHT YET. . IMMEDIATE AND PROSPECTIVE ITEMS OF BUSINESS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Little fresh business is expected to come before the House of Representatives this week, though there is a possibility that some of the remaining legislation, including the War Damages Bill, may appear before the end of the week. The second reading debate on the National Development Loans Bill is expected to be completed tomorrow, in which event the Minister of Finance, Mr Nash, will reply that night. The second reading debate on the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Bill will probably begin on Thursday, and on Friday the Estimates will be further discussed. There is as yet. no suggestion of an early conclusion of the session. Indications are that the House will sit for five more weeks at least.
