COAL SHORTAGE
VERY SERIOUS IN EIRE. COMMUNAL KITCHENS PLANNED. (Received This Day, 1.5 p.m.) DUBLIN, August 20. The coal shortage in Eire is so serious that the Government is planning community food kitchens. Not a single ton of household coal has reached Eire from Britain during the past two months. Dublin is planning a food kitchen to supply 500,000 meals a day at sixpence each.
