INTERCOLLEGIATE COMPETITIONS ST. BRIDE’S AND SOLWAY DRAW. ' The following is the result of the Wednesday competitions held among the basketball teams of Solway College, St. Bride’s Convent and Wairarapa College. St. Bride's A and Solway A drew for the championship with 15 points each. Details are: St. Bride’s A 15 points, Solway A 15 points, Wairarapa'College A 14 points, Wairarapa College B 12 points, Solway B G points, St. Bride’s B 0 points. In the final tournament the points were: ’ A teams: St. Bride's A 4 points, Solway A 1 point, Wairarapa College A 1 point. B teams: Solway B 3 points, Wairarapa College B 2 points, St. Bride’s B 1 points. The games have been fairly evenly contested and a high standard of basketball maintained throughout. St. Bride’s A team has shown marked improvement since the beginning of the season and in the final tournament gave an exhibition of speedy passing and accurate goal-throwing. WAIRARAPA v. WELLINGTON. SATURDAY’S REPRESENTATIVE FIXTURE. Wairarapa A will play Wellington senior B and fourth grade teams in representative basketball matches at the Wairarapa College grounds on Saturday afternoon. The Wairarapa A team will play the Wellington B team at 2 o’clock, and the local B team will play a Wellington fourth grade team at 3 o’clock.

The visiting teams will be the guests of the local teams, and will return home on Saturday night. It is anticipated that there will be a spectacular exhibition of fast and exciting play. The local teams are as follow: —

Wairarapa A team: Goal, J. Palmer, J. Gemmell, Mrs Harding; centres, M. Eastwood, C. Moylan, P. Hanley; de.fence, A. Burgess, M. Gadsby, M. McLaren; emergencies, goal, I. Shoosmith; defence, J. Dickson; centre, J. Russell. Wairarapa B team: Goal, B. Hack, C. Walker, I. Jensen; centres, V. Berry, M. Williams. A. Pauling; defence, P. McAlister, H. Tauwhare, M. Linton; emergencies, A. Regan, C. Wright, O. Richards.
