GOLF CONTESTS RESULTS OF YESTERDAY’S PLAY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The lady members of the Featherston Golf Club played a bogey competition yesterday in rather unfavourable weather conditions. The results were: Mrs Gold 3 down, Mrs Connell 4 down, Mrs Donald 5 down. Senior championship: Mrs Gold beat Mrs Pope. Junior championship: Mrs Batchelor beat Mrs Donald, Miss Williams beat Miss Ruane, Mrs Connell beat Mrs Elbe. Home Guard. The Home Guard parade held on Tuesday night was under the command of Mr A. White. Instruction in rifle drill and lectures in manoeuvres occupied the evening. Commander Hayes with his platoon commanders visited Masterton to hear an address on the Greece campaign.
