MOBILISATION IN CANADA STATEMENT BY DEFENCE MINISTER. WOMEN FOR AUXILIARY SERVICE (By Telegraph—-Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, August 8. The Canadian Defence Minister, Mr J. L. Ralston, told the Press today that authority had been granted to mobilise the Sixth Canadian Division of the active army. Replying to a question, Mi' Ralston said that all necessary precautions were being taken on the Pacific coast, in view of the Far East situation. He also stated that the enlisting of 830 women, for service with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps,, would begin on September 1.
