BRITISH LABOUR
MISSION LIKELY TO VISIT , UNITED STATES. DEPUTATION PLEDGES SUPPORT TO RUSSIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) WASHINGTON, August 8. The United Press of America learns that a delegation of British trade union leaders will shortly visit the United States at the invitation either of American labour organisations or the labour division of the Office of Production Management in an effort to establish a British-American labour front against Hitler. They may be followed latter by leaders from Australia and other Empire countries. The Soviet Ambassador, M. Maisky, today received a deputation from the Trades Council which handed him a resolution pledging the aid of 300,000 workers to bring the war to a successful conclusion. He said he realised that the resolution expressed the view of millions of British workers.
