FEATHERSTON
WOMEN’S DRILL SQUAD PLATOON OFFICERS ELECTED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The following officers have been elected in connection with the first platoon of the Women's Drill Squad: Commanding officer, Miss O. Nix; . Ist lieutenant, Miss Bloxam; 2nd lieutenant, Miss Gregor; marker, Miss Betty Smith, Mr A, White addressed the officers on their duties, and said more officers would require to be elected when other platoons had been formed. The question of uniforms was discussed, it being finally decided that the matter be held in abeyance for a few months.
Golf. The ladies played a medal round on the Gum Grove links yesterday, the results being:—Mrs B. Feast, 1: Mrs Gold, 2; Miss Nix and Mrs Elbe (equal), 3. The following is ‘the draw for the championships:—Senior: Miss Nix v. Mrs Donald; Mrs Pope v. Mrs Gold. Junior: Miss Williams v. Miss Ruane; Mrs Connell v. Mrs Elbe; Mrs Batchelor V. Mrs Donald.
Junior trophy: Mrs Boyce v. Mrs Saunders.
