TASMANIAN NEWSPRINT INDUSTRY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 5. The "Journal of Commerce" today says that Australia’s newest industrial venture, the production of newsprint from local hardwood, recently began in Tasmania, bids fairs to develop into one of the Commonwealth’s most important ' industries.
