SOLWAY RAINFALL
RECORD FOR JULY. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 15 days in July. Tiie maximum fall was 79 points on the 11th. and the minimum 2 points on the 31st. The total rain for the month was 2.91 inches, as against 3.68 (1940), 7.66 (1939), 3.80 (1938), 4.53 (1937), 4.77 (1936). The average for 38 years is 4.23 inches. The total rainfall .for the seven months of this year is 26.98 inches, as compared with 18.94 (1940), 18.22 (1939), 29.00 (1938), 21.57 (1937), 29.67 (1936) . The average for 38 years is 23.30 inches.
