COURSE OF LECTURES IN MASTERTON.

Miss Cocks Johnston, who is a travelling tutor under the Adult Education Council and is an expert on all classes of gardening will on Thursday, August 7, at 7 p.m., in the Savage Club rooms begin classes in Masterton. Miss Cocks Johnston has been engaged by the Wairarapa Federation of .Women’s Institutes. The six courses of lectures will embrace: (1) The general cultivation and propogation of plants; (2") soil and manures, pests and diseases; (3) vegetable growing; (4) fruit, spraying and pruning; (5) the flower garden; (6) preservation of fruit and vegetables. Interested persons are referred to an advertisement appearing today.
