MORTALITY AMONG LAMBS.

(“Times-Age” Special.) The cold southerly weather of the past week has taken a considerable toll of early lambs. Vital Statistics. There were four births and seven deaths in Featherston during July. Rainfall Record. During July 4.24 inches of rain were registered in Featherston, as against 4.80 inches in July, 1940. There were 17 days with rain, the heaviest fall being 90 points on July 10. In July, 1940, there were 19 wet days.

Personal. Miss Phillys Jeffrey is spending a holiday in Featherston.
