DELAYED ARRIVAL

JAPANESE SHIP AT AUCKLAND.

PROCEEDING TO WELLINGTON AND SOUTH ISLAND. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND. August 1. The Yamashita Kisen Kaisya motorvessel Yamagiku Maru arrived shortly after '-10 o’clock tonight and anchored in the stream. She will berth tomorrow. The Japanese ship was due from Kobe via Noumea on Monday but reported she would be late. A further message stated she was being delayed by unfavourable weather. However, smaller vessels were able to reach port. The Yamagiku Maru has a cargo of timber and general merchandise. She is scheduled to leave on Monday evening for Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin.
