TIRAUMEA

HOME GUARD BAYONET DRILL. (‘"Times-Age” Special.) There was a much better attendance at the last parade of the Home Guard when instruction was given in bayonet drill by Mr Howard, of Alfredton. The Ladies’ Auxiliary paraded, but there’was a very poor attendance. After drill the members were given a short course of instruction on classing wool in Mr S. Raleigh’s woolshed by Mrs H. Seymour. Personal Items. Mr S. Raleigh left on Saturday to attend the Home Guard camp at Palmerston North. Mr N. Hislop, of the Waiouru Military Camp, spent the weekend at Tiraumea. Miss G. Harman is staying with her sister, Mrs C. Richardson, Eketahuna.
