LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST FAIR TO FINE. CONTINUANCE OF COOL TEMPERATURES. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Winds southerly; still strong on parts of the coast, but gradually moderating. A shower or two still possible near the coast, but elsewhere fair to cloudy. Temperatures cool. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Fair to fine. LOCAL REPORTS. Solway: Mr H. M. Eoddington reports that 2 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
