False Alarm.
The Masterton Fire Brigade was called out at 2.36 o'clock this morning by a call from a street box on the Te Ore Ore Road. The alarm proved to be a false one. Ingleside. Members of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society are reminded that the third Ingleside of the season will be held in the Masonic Hall, Masterton, on Wednesday, August 6, commencing at 8 p.m. The Ingleside is for members and their friends. Benefit Dance. Arrangements are well in hand for the Overseas Members’ Benefit Dance to be held in the Orange Hall on Saturday evening next. Music will be supplied by Messrs J. West and J. Reid and an excellent dance programme has been arranged, including novelty dances. Patrons are assured that they will have a most enjoyable evening. The supper arrangements are in the capable hands of an energetic ladies’ committee.
