MASTERTON CLUB
NOTES ON TRAINING RUN
There was good form shown in the combined Masterton-Kiatere clubs’ run on Saturday and evidence was to be seen that both clubs have good material in their respective ranks. The form cf the Kiatere members suggested that they would run well at the provincial championships on August 2. Owing to a decision at the commencement of the year to make this season an informal one for seniors, the Masterton Club will not send a team to the championship meeting. The win of N. Jacobsen in the junior event by five yards from M. Doyle was a very popular one. The remainder of the runners were bunched and two good teams should be seen in action at Wellington. j Next Saturday’s Masterton Club; event will be the final training run 1 prior to the championships.
