WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION B GRADE TOURNAMENT. REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS SELECTED. Tho Wairarapa Basketball Association held a ,B grade tournament last Saturday for the purpose of selecting a representative team to travel to Hutt Valley on August 2. The following is the result of the tournament: Stars II beat Collegians II 9/0; College II beat Greytown 11/5; Belvedere beat Carterton 8/5; Belvedere beat Star II 6/1. , The B grade girls selected were: I. •Tensen (Belvedere), C. Walker (Belvedere), C. Wright (College), A. Tauwhare (College), V. Berry (College), O. Richards (Collegians), M. Williams (College), A. Pauling (Star), M. Linton (College), P. Macalister College), A. Regan (College), B. Hack (Carterton). In the A grade, Probables defeated Possibles by 8 goals to 5. The following girls have been selected to travel to Rotorua in August for the New Zealand tournament: J. Gemmell (Collegians), J. Palmer (Star), I. Shoosmith (College), H. Harding (Star), P. Hanley (Star), C. Moylen (Hospital). M. Eastwood (Collegians), J. Russell (Collegians), M. Gadsby (Star), M. McLaren (Collegians), A. Burgess (Star), J. Dixon (Star). Any girl unable to travel must advise the secretary as soon as possible. A practice for the A team will be held at 5.5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Wairarapa College. The B team will practice on Thursday evening at the same time.
