The ceremony was performed by r the Venerable Archdeacon Rich, and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ, The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked charming in a silver lame gown, which featured a heartshaped neckline, sleeves pointed over the hands 'and a slim fitting bodice finished with tiny buttons and loops. | The full oval train fell gracefully from the low scalloped waistline. He,r veil of the palest pink tulle, which was worn over the face on entering the church, fell from a coronet of tiny aurum lilies. A, feature of the bridal dress was a beautiful silver Egyptian fillagree bracelet, kindly lent by a friend. The bride carried a sheaf of aurum lilies, freesias and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids, Miss J. Wilson (chief) and Miss J. Scandrett, were frocked alike in pink hailstone net over pink taffeta trimmed with silver buttons. A headdress of real flowers, long mittens, and a gold cross, a gift of the bridegroom, completed their toilettes. They carried bouquets of roses, freesias, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. The duties of best man and groomsman were carried out by Mr J. Peters, Kaituna, and Mr C. Anderson, Masterton, respectively. During the signing of the register the bride’s sister, Mrs R. Cowie, of Ohura, gave a beautiful rendering of “Where ’ere you Walk.” , A reception was held in the Parish Hall where Mrs Styles, dressed in a frock of uncrushable crepe of clover oral design, with navy accessories, and carrying a bouquet of freesias, anemonies and maidenhah’ fern, received the guests! She was assisted by Mrs F. Edwards, Otaki, aunt of the bridegroom, who wore a tan frock, hat and brown fur coat with brown accessories, and carried a bouquet to tone. During the cutting of the cake Mrs Cowie sang “Here’s to Love and Laughter,” a toast to the bride and bridegroom. The bride and bridegroom left later by car on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a grey tailored costume and hat with violet accessories to tone and carrying a grey squirrel stole, the gift of the bridegroom.
