REGENT THEATRE
“UNDER YOUR HAT.” ' Unlike most musical comedies, “Under Your Hat,” which will be shown tonight at the Regent, has a story background, a' story with a distinctly topical flavour, which adds much to the enjoyment of the film. It concerns the efforts of a foreign spy ring to get possession of a new, serial aeroplane carburettor. Jack Hulbert is selected by the government to get the invention back, as he, a famous film star, is considered to be the least likely Englishman to be suspected. Among the foreign agents is the beautiful Carole, and naturally, Jack has to fraternise with her to trace the carburettor, much to the horror of his wife, Cicely, who misunderstands his high motives. It’s all fun and real fun with merry music and delightful dancing thrown in for good entertainment measure. Also screening is the latest March of Time, “Australia at War.”
