RADIO DEVICE
USE AGAINST WHITE ANTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) CHICAGO, July 17. Charles Geirup, described as a “professional exterminator,” and Jay Atkinson, engineers, have perfected a radio detector which magnifies the munching sound of white ants so that it may be heard 30 feet distant. Only vibrations peculiar to the termites are picked up by the small radio box. It is claimed that the detector will greatly assist in the extermination of the ants before the actual damage thej do is far advanced.
