GOLF MATCH POSTPONED. i (“Times-Age” Special.) The golf match against Featherston was postponed owing to the bad weather conditions. Local competitions were also postponed. In a Doughty Cup match played recently N. Hume and J. Carter finished all square. G. Sutherland beat N. Hume and S. Thomas beat G. Sutherland, who also accounted for J. Carter. Personal Items. Miss Bessie Carter, who has been spending a holiday with her parents, has returned to Napier. The many friends of Mrs J. Cowan will be pleased to learn' that she is making good progress towards recovery in the Palmerston North Hospital. The death occurred in the Masterton Hospital of Miss D. Kaio, of Martinborough. The deceased, who was 17 years of age, had been ailing for some time. The funeral will take place at Moiki. Mr and Mrs Meta, I-lalcombe, are the guests of Mr and Mrs W. Watene, Turanganui. Mr r and Mrs Southey are at present away on holiday. Among those reported as prisoners of war are Privates Hakaraia and Bragg, nephews of Messrs J. Carter and J. Bragg respectively. Private L. Kitney, brother of Mr D. Kitney, is also a prisoner of war.
