FEATHERSTON
SWIMMING CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Swimming Club dance held on Saturday night was very successful and enjoyable, there being the biggest attendance so far recorded at these gatherings. Mr W. McNamara was M.C. The music was supplied by Mrs Nimmo.Extras were played by Miss G. Fraser. The Monte Carlo dances were won by Mr J. Cross and Miss B. Davis, and Mr J. Sim and Miss E. Davis. The ladies’ committee provided supper. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs lan Carlyon, Wellington, and Miss Nancy Carlyon, Whakatane, were weekend visitors to Featherston. Miss Carlyon returns to Whakatane today. ' Mr R. Welch, Kaiwaiwai, who recently underwent an operation at Kelvin Hospital, is progressing satisfactorily towards recovery. Mrs J. Moran, who has been an inmate of the Masterton Hospital for the past three weeks, returned to her home on Saturday. Hockey. The Featherston hockey team beat Martinborough at Featherston on Saturday by 5 goals to 2.
