LORD HALIFAX

REPORTS OF COMING VISIT TO LONDON. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) WASHINGTON, July 10. Concerning the London “NewsChronicle” report that Lord Halifax is going to London soon, the Embassy made the following statement: “This is merely a speculative comment by a British newspaper, whose political views are independent and often not in accord with the established policies of his Majesty’s Government. We have of course no confirmation of the suggestion in the message.” An Embassy spokesman, however, said Lord Halifax would visit London in the late summer.
