The following awards were made at the Wairarapa Poultry, Pigeon and Cage Bird Association's show at Carterton today up till the time the “Times-Age" went to press: — FANCY POULTRY SECTION. Cock: C. Spackman 1; hen. J. H. Sutton 1, K. Faribrother 2, T. W. Barnes 3. Cockerel, C. Spackman 1, T. W. Barnes 2. Pullet: J. 11. Sutton 1: T. W. Barnes 2 and 3. LEGHORN. White Cock: W. F. Stent (Carterton) 1. White hen: Miss M. A. Taucher (Carterton) 1; W. F. Stent 2. White cockerel: H. Goodin (Lower Hutt) 1; O. Clark 2; Mrs C. K. McPhee 3. White pullet: H. Goodin 1: T. W. Barnes 2; Mrs C. K. McPhee 3. Brown hen: T. W. Barnes 1. Brown cockerel: T. W. Barnes 1. Brown pullet: T. W. Barnes 1 and 2.
Keen judges warmly praised the display, particularly the prizewinners in the poultry section, many of the birds being. considered equal to anything seen in a show ring in the province.
