MR FRASER IN LONDON
FORTITUDE OF THE PEOPLE ADMIRED. [ (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) | (Received This Day, 11.5 a.m.) | LONDON. July 8. The New Zealand Premier (Mr Fraser) during his visit to St. Pauls, was accompanied by Mr C. A. Berendsen. In the auxiliary Ire service company he inspected, he met Messrs A. H. P. Stacey, of Cambridge, and T. R. Wielaert, of Auckland. During his tour of Bermondsey, Mr Fraser was presented with an illuminated address of welcome. Replying to the cheers of Bermondsey citizens, Mr Fraser said: “Your cheers will be reechoed in New Zealand. In. the course of his tour. Mr Fraser said that what he had seen heightened his admiration for the people of London and those of the United Kingdom for the manner in which they had 'teod up to the attacks Oi the Nazis. He told the United Press: “I stand amazed at the splendid fortitude and courage of the Londoners, which more than justifies the admiration of the people of New Zealand.”
