EKETAHUNA
MOTHERS’ UNION ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The second annual meeting of the Eketahuna branch of the Mothers’ Union was held in St. Cuthbert’s Schoolroom. A short church service was conducted by the Vicar, the Rev. L. Ives, who also presided at the meeting. The' annual report and financial statement were adopted. The following officers were elected: —Enrolling member, Mrs L. Ives (until her departure); secretary, Mrs W, Anderson; committee, Mesdames A. Hansen, K. Hensen. Christie, A. H. Gray, M. Herbert, J. Tolley and E. M. Simmers. It was decided to combine with Auxiliary members in serving afternoon tea on August 2, the occasion being a visit by the Bishop of Wellington, who will hold a confirmation service on that day. The speaker for the meeting was Mrs Williams who gave an interesting talk on her experiences in Church work in the North Auckland district, and for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Afternoon tea was served by Mesdames M. Herbert, Simmers and A. Hansen. Personal. The Vicar of St. Cuthbert's Church, the Rev. L. Ives, has accepted a call to Okato, Taranaki, where he will commence his duties in August. He will, be succeeded by the Rev. G. E. Williams, of Piopio, Auckland.
