FOG IN CANTERBURY
AIR LINER LANDS ON BRIGHTON BEACH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Owing to low fog over the Harewood aerodrome, the Union air liner Kaka, from Dunedin, landed on Brighton Beach this morning. The machine was over Harewood fifteen minutes ahead of schedule, but the aerodrome was so obscured that the commander, Mr A. G. Gerrard, decided to make a landing on the beach, where visibility was excellent. As the fog continued at Harewood, the passengers were taken to Brighton by car and the machine took off at 11.30 for Wellington and Auckland.
