KIATERE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS
Members of the Kiatere Harrier Club will hold their annual contests for the 5-mile senior championship and the 21mile junior championship on Saturday, from the Solway Showgrounds, commencing at 2.30 p.m. R. Greeks, holder of the Albert Cox trophy, has won this event the past two years and if he succeeds this season, he will retain the trophy as hts own. • W. Burgess and W. MacDonald should prove his hardest opponents and the race promises to be very keenly contested. In the junior race N. Jacobsen appears to be the logical winner, but G. Hayes. N. Dickel and S. Pickett should be close up.
As the Wellington Provincial Championships are only a month off, members should get down to some solid training.- The weekly training run will be held tonight at 7 o’clock.
