AIR CASUALTIES
SEVEN REPORTED MISSING
INCLUDING TWO DECORATED PILOTS. NEW ZEALANDERS OVERSEAS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An Air Force casualty list containing nine names, mostly of men reported missing, was issued yesterday. Among the casualties are two officers who have won decorations —Pilot Officer J. W. Sievers. D.F.C., and Pilot Officer D. T. Herrick, G.M. Both are reported missing. The casualty list is as follows: — DACRE, Desmond A., Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F.. missing on air operations. Mrs E. A. Dacre, 15 Windmill Rd., Mt. Eden, Auckland (m). FRASER, Mason J.. Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F.. missing on air operations. Mr C. W. Fraser, 4 Allen St.. Dannevirke (f). JILLETT, Gordon G.. Sgt., R.N.Z.A.F., missing on air operations. Mr J. R. Jillett, 153 St. Aubyn St., New Plymouth (f). SANDMAN. Warren J., Pilot Officer, R.N.Z.A.F.. reported missing on operations. Mrs W. Sandman, 124 Wheturangi Rd., One Tree Hill Auckland (m). LECKIE, Thomas W. McC.. Pilot Officer. R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported slightly injured, now reported suffering from fractured spine; admitted to hospital. Mrs' F. M. Leckie, Barton Rd., Heretaunga (m). HILD, Cecil McK., Flying Officer. R.A.F., reported suffering from bullet in left thigh, admitted to hospital and 4 placed on seriously ill list. Mrs E. N2 Hill, 35 Mansfield Ave., St. Alban* Christchurch (m). SIEVERS, John W.. Pilot Officer, D.F.C., R.A.F., reported missing on operations. Mr S. J. Sievers, 27 Brassey Rd.. St. John's Hill. Wanganui (f). DRAKE, Francis E, Sgt.. R.A.F., reported missing, believed killed in flying accident. Mrs Drake, Tautari St., Auckland (m). HERRICK. Dennis T„ Pilot Officer, G.M., R.N.Z.A.F.. missing on air operations. Mr E. J. Herrick. Lindisfarne, Hastings (f).
