NAVY LEAGUE

MASTERTON BRANCH LADIES’ AUXILIARY. GARMENTS FOR MEMBERS OF FORCES. After the last meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the local branch of the Navy League the Wool Committee packed 95 garments to be forwarded to Wellington for shipment overseas. In addition to these 19 garments were given to men joining the Navy and Fleet Air Arm. Up to June 10, 536 garments have been donated since the beginning of the year. Te Whiti School, Central School and St. Bride’s Convent, and the donors of many anonymous parcels.

The committee also wish to thank all those who have given donations of money for the purchase of wool and tinned foods. The next consignment of food will be sent in July, and the packing committee will be grateful if members and friends who are donating parcels will leave them at Mr P. J. Borthwick's office early next week.
