GREYTOWN
PLUNKET SOCIETY TRAINING FOR AIDS. (“Times-Age" Special.) Mrs E. Maddison presided at a meeting of the Greytown Plunket Society held yesterday afternoon when arrangements were made to train persons to act as Plunket aids. These would act in an emergency. Nurse Edgeley explained the scheme, and outlined the training which would commence immediately. Lady Galway Guild. A meeting of Lady Galway Sewing Guild members was held yesterday afternoon at the schoolhouse, Mrs A. W. Horton being in the chair. Mrs W. J. Knell was appointed secretary. Mesdames Shedden and Carter were appointed a purchasing committee. A grant of £3 3s was received from the Greytown Borough Council for incidental expenses. Scouts Hockey Team. The Greytown Scouts hockey team to play Wesley on Saturday at Greytown at 2.45 p.m. will be: I. Trotman (capt.). R. Jury, D. Ross, W. Trotman. R. Gallon. F. Skeet, R. Day, P. Brabender, N. Hay, J. Eccles. P. Farrell.
Personal. Mr Kelvin Thompson has left for Wellington where he has joined the staff of the head office of the Public Works Department.
