AIRMAN ENTERTAINED
SOCIAL GATHERING AT MATAHIWI. A very enjoyable time was spent at Matahiwi on Wednesday night when the residents entertained Sergeant Pilot Minton. Visitors were present from Masterton and the surrounding districts. In making a presentation of a leather hold-all to Sergeant Pilot Minton, Mr F. Clarke referred to the popularity of their guest. He hoped the gift would prove useful and bring good luck. Sergeant Pilot Minton suitably thanked the residents for their presentation and kind wishes. The time was spent in playing cards and dancing. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs To Tau and extras were played by Mr J. Evans. Mr S. Hawkless capably carried out the duties of M.C.
