The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— FORECAST: Light to moderate variable winds, with south-wester-lies stili predominating. Weather fair to fine and cool. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Mainly fair. LOCAL REPORTS. Miss A. M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph. 29.72: shade temperature, maximum 46,2, minimum 38.5, terrestial 33.1; sunshine, 25 minutes; rain, 40 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 46 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today. SUN. The sun rose today 7.47 a.m.; sets 5 p.m.
