• GOLF COMPETITIONS the successful players. ("Times-Age” Special.) The weather cleared fine for the golf competitions over the weekend, there being a good number of players out enjoying the fine afternoon, after the very cold conditions which prevailed earlier in the week.
Miss E. Bannister returned the best card for Mr and Mrs Bannister's trophy. She also defeated Mrs Schofield in a Kummers tein Cup match. In the men's competition, W. Kummer. playing to his handicap of 8. returned a net score of 66. J. Bannister and R. Weston were all square in a Nimmo Cup match. On the next playing day all matches will be resumed, the ladies playing for the trophy donated by Mr and Mrs J. Bannister and the- men competing for the Captain's trophy. The draw will be posted in the clubhouse. All members are reminded that the club cannot carry on without finance, and that the committee would be pleased if all subscriptions and entry fees were paid by the end of June. Those wishing to take part in the weekly and eclectic competitions must enter for the various competitions not later than June 30.
