HASTWELL

HOME GUARD PARADE FIELD MANOEUVRES. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Sunday there was a fair attendance at a daylight parade held at Hastwell by the Home Guard. The inclement weather conditions proved a little unpleasant at first, bet later in the day improved sufficiently to permit of interesting and instructive field manoeuvres being undertaken. The Mauriceville unit present represented Mauriceville East, Mauriceville West and Hastwell. The Indies of the Hastwell Women's Institute supplied refreshments for the guardsmen when the parade was dismissed. Personal. Mr and Mrs E. Algar are spending a liolidny in the north. Book Club. The opening of the Book Club on Monday evenings has proved of convenience to local readers.
