MASTERTON SEAT

NATIONAL PARTY CANDIDATE. SELECTION BY BALLOT. The selection of a National Party candidate for the Masterton electorate is to be made by a postal ballot of all financial members of the Masterton branch of the party. The ballot, which is confined to financial members at the time when the nomination of candidates closed, will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday next, June 19. and the results of the ballot will be announced at a meeting of members of the party to be held that night. The three candidates nominated, Mrs R. Miller (Kopuaranga), and Messrs G. H. Mackley (Wellington) and W. J. Thomas (Carterton), last evening addressed a meeting of members of the party in the Opera House.
