SOCIAL FUNCTION TWO SOLDIERS ENTERTAINED. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large and representative attendance at the Tinui Hall last night when Corporal Basil Schofield and Private Hubert Barton were honoured at a social and dance. Mr G. Groves, president of the Tinui Patriotic Committee, made presentations to the guests of honour and wished them a safe return. Music for the dancing was supplied by Jack Barnes's Orchestra and the duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr Eric Schofield. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee.
