DANCE FOR SOLDIERS ENTERTAINMENT IN HALL. ("Tiines-A<je" Special.i The Gladstone 11;.!I was packed on Tuesday night when the Gladstone'. Longbush arid To Whiti settlers tendered ;i dance to Sargeant Pilot J. Thomas, Trooper S. Hcndcrs.'.n and Privates R. Gunderson and L. Tomlin. Mr W. Rogers made the presentations and wished each the best of luck and a safe return. Alter the singing <.f “Wish Mo Luck" and “There’ll Always be an England." each guest replied. The raffle for the dinner was wan by Miss Peggy Booth.. and the prize was handed back to be an .‘ii’.k d. Th..? nusic for dancing was suppl ed by Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra and Mr Ashton was M.C. The singing id’ "Auld Lang Syne" ended an enjoyable evening. Personal. Privates T. Rennall and If. Palmer, who have been stationed at Fiji, returned Io Longbush on Tuesday.
