Play commenced on Saturday and continued yesterday and today. The links are in excellent order. In the qualifying round R. B. Cameron and E.Henderson headed the list with scores of 77 each. Results are as follow: Wairarapa Championship. First round: Henderson beat Ross Macintosh beat Pither, M. Thornton beat Brown. Holdgato beat Ward. J. Thornton beat Candy. Torr beat A. R. Todd, Baker beat ,Esau, Cameron beat Weston. Second round: Henderson beat McIntosh. M. Thornton beat Holdgate, J. Thornton beat Torr, Cameron beat. Baker. Semi-finals: Henderson beat M. Thornton; Cameron beat J. Thornton. Masterton Handicap. First round: Broad beat Mannering. McPherson beat E. L. Nitz, Grylls beat Hugo by default, Paku beat Batty, Joy beat Page, H. R. Falloon beat Bee, Whiteman beat Smaill Mackie beat H. H. Daniell. Second round: Broad beat McPherson, Paku beat Grylls. Falloon beat Joy, Mackie beat Whiteman. Medal competition: L. Pither 63, H H. A fourball bogey round ttfas played on the Riverside Golf Club's links on Saturday under excellent conditions. The best cards handed in were: —R. Bell and J. Wakelin, 7 up; W ,Palamontain and S. Pye. 4 up. Ladies: Mrs Clark and Mrs Palamontain, 3 up; Mrs Emery and Mrs Wakelin, 1 .up; Mrs Johns and Mrs Blatchford, Mrs Brown and Mrs Hayne, Mrs Rawlins and Mrs Gilliland, all square. A Stableford round was also played during the weekend, the winners being J. Wakelin 33 and R. Bell 37.
