A free hit to Old Boys relieved them from a dangerous position. Some good play followed with Greytown having a slight advantage until a fine run by Old Boys gave Faulknor a shot which just missed. Greytown then attacked and shot into the net. but the goal was not allowed on account of sticks. Greytown kept up the attack but over-, kcennesss poiled chances. However their efforts were rewarded just before half time when Keltic scored from a scramble in the goal mouth. Play was very even for the first 15 minutes of the second spell, but Ironthen on Old Boys’ forwards were always dangerous and their almost continuous attacks kept the Greytown backs very busy defending. During the closing stages Evans and Marchbanks had shots that missed and Faulknor and Jaspers spoiled good chances by infringements at critical positions. There was no further score and the game ended in a draw. CARTERTON v. WESLEY. NARROW WIN FOR SOUTHERN TEAM.
