A GOOD METHOD

TO IRON VELVET. To iron velvet first rub it gently over the face with a piece of silk wrung out of warm water. Dampen the back also, and then get someone to hold one end of the velvet while you draw back over the hot iron. This method brings up the pile and is better than steaming. 1
