KILLED IN CRETE
SURGEON MAJOR J. PLIMMER. IBy Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. News received of the death in Crete of Surgeon Major John Plirnmer states that he was operating on wounded New Zealanders in a Crete Hospital when a high explosive bomb struck the building and blew it up. Surgeon Major Plirnmer, who was.in practice in Wellington, was one of the first to volunteer for service when war was declared. He leaves a widow, formerly Miss Leah Burt, of Dunedin, and three children.
