LEAGUE OF NATIONS

SPEAKER AT ANNUAL MEETING. The speaker at the annual meeting of the Masterton branch of the League of Nations Union on Thursday next at the Y.M.C.A. will be Mr Leigh Hunt, and his subject “The British-American Co-operation Movement.’ The initiators of this movement believe that the future peace of the world depends upon such co-operation. The passing of the Lease and Lend Act on March 11 and the mobilisation of America’s great resources is a practical demonstration of that co-operation. Mr Leigh Hunt will indicate the methods and plans by which the N.Z. section will be able to play its part in fostering so important a movement.
