PRISONERS OF WAR
ESTABLISHMENT OF SPECIAL BUREAU. ORDER OF ST JOHN & RED CROSS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An information bureau concerning prisoners of war has been sot up by the joint council of the Order of St John and tlie New Zealand Red Cross Society. Work dealing will) the supervision and relief of prisoners of war has already been undertaken in New Zealand by the joint council, but with the large addition io New Zealand prisoners of war. as the result of the fighting in Greece, the work will now be established on a full-time basis. The headquarters of the New Zealand Red Cross Society lias already a large amoiyit of information in hand, and further particulars be available later. It is proposed by the joint council to put an officer in full time control of this branch of activity, under a sub-committee of the joint councii. and as accommodation is taxed at the headquarters in Dixon Street, it is intended to transfer the Prisoners of War Information Bureau to an office devoted to the one purpose. In the meantime, inquiries should be marked on tlie envelope:— "Prisoners oi’ War Information Bureau. Joint Council Headquarters. Dixon Street. Wellington ”
