MASTERTON CLUB MEDAL COMPETITION RESULTS. The'following are the best cards in a medal competition played on Saturday by the Masterton Golf Club: — A grade: R. Weston 69, K. D. Duncan 70, F. Candy 71, H. Bell 72, R. E. Baker 72, W. E. Holdgate 74, A. J. Drew 74, R. McKenzie 74. H. P. Hugo 74. B grade: W. G. Rew 74. G. R. Joy 75, J. G. Bee 75. LADIES 'GAMES. Lady members of the Masterton Golf Club played a medal competition on Saturday, the winner being Miss D. Allan, 97, 22, 75. RIVERSIDE CAPTAIN’S TROPHY PLAY. Glorious sunshine prevailed throughout the weekend and the Riverside Club links have responded to the extra work put in during the last week or two, providing very enjoyable golf. The best cards handed in for the first bogey round of the Captain’s Trophy were: A. Bell, F. Dwyer, all square; E. Reid, R. Wearne, one down. Ladies: Miss N. Selby, 2 down; Mrs Rawlins, 3 down; Miss Shearer, 4 down; Mrs Gilliland, 5 down. During the weekend two further Stableford rounds were played, the first being won by R. Wearne 36 and the second by R. Simpson 37. The latter ,who is a new player, appears to have developed a very pleasing drive.
