LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

MEETING IN MASTERTON. CHILDREN ENTERTAIN PARENTS. The League of Mothers held it.'.’ monthly meeting yesterday afternoon. The president. Mrs L. B. Maunsell. was in the chair and after the usual hymn was sung and prayer offered, the aims and objects cf the League were read. The president then welcomed the children who provided the afternoon's entertainment. Mrs W. A. Michael, league delegate to the Patriotic Committee, reported on the work being done and asked for volunteer needle-women to help when an emergency rush of work occurred. Volunteers were requested to please get in touch with Mrs Michael. The following children entertained the parents:—Pianoforte solos,, Audrey Dash, Beth Garland; song and dance. Nola Blackwood; monologue, Joselyn Heath; piano solo,Geffory Jaine; recitation. Stanley Watkins; duet, Norma and Erland Wright; song, Margaret Bannister; speech, Barbara Lee; piano solo, Helen McGregor; monologue, Mirie Heath; song, Joan. Russell; recitation. Brenda Jaine; dance, Kathleen Dallas; piano solo.nliss Master:;. The hostesses were members of the committee.
