REGENT THEATRE
-NORTH WEST MOUNTED POLICE." “North West Mounted Police” will be screened at the Regent Theatre tonight. Gary Cooper and Madeleine Carroll are the stars of the production, and Paulette Goddard, Preston Foster, Robert Preston, Akim Tamiroff, Lynne Overman, George Bancroft, Lon Chaney Junr., end Walter Hampden also take part. The picture is entirely in technicolour. The narrative is a grand one, packed with action and romance—two love stories in fact! —and adapts itself ideally to filling every reel of the picture with thrill upon thrill! That brightly burning star of genius which has guided Cecil B. DeMille to fame as a motion picture producerdirector has nothing on the light used by the starring cast of DeMille's new picture. It has the biggest cast DeMille has ever offered, a cast suited to' the epic proportions of this picture, and one competent to deal with its big story. The featurettes are outstanding, these including the latest Newsreel from London and Egypt and a superb, all-colour musical “Moments of Charm,” featuring the famous women’s * choir of America. This latter item is alone worth the price of admission. Plans are at Nimmo’s and the theatre.
