WEDDING

TICEHURST—GARRETT. (‘"Times-Age” Special.) The marriage .took place at the Presbyterian Church, Carterton, recently, of Eileen Kathleen, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs T. A. Garrett, Carterton, and Edgar Keith, only son of Mr and Mrs H. Ticehurst, Carterton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. J. Couling, of St. Andrew’s Church. Mr Martin presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of white slipper satin cut on slimming lines. The gown featured a cowl neckline, sleeves pointed over the hands, and a long, graceful train falling from the waist. The full length veil was caught in place with a coronet of orange blossom and miniature arum lilies. The bride’s shower bouquet was of white rosebuds, carnations and maidenhair fern. She was attended by her sisters, Dorothy and Lena, as bridesmaid and flower girl respectively. The bridesmaid wore a pink georgette frock with silver headdress and shoes to tone. Her

bouquet was of pink rosebuds, carnations and fern. The flower girl was dressed in pale blue georgette, with silver headdress and shoes and carried a silver basket of flowers to tone. A small page boy, Frank Garrett, cousin the bride, wore a white satin blouse and black velvet shorts. Mr John Garrett carried out the duties of best man. As the bride left the church, she was presented with a silver horse shoe by Jdalcolm Jensen. After the ceremony a reception was held at Mr W. Steven's Tearooms where Mrs T. Garrett, who received her guests, wore a frock of Grecian grape and black hat and a shoulder spray to match. She was assisted by Mrs H. Ticehurst. who wore a black pin stripe suit and black hat and a shoulder spray of red roses. When Mr and Mrs E. K. Ticehurst left for the north on their honeymoon the bride was wearing a black pin stripe costume, pink blouse and black accessories. Their future home will be Dalefield.
